Tim Treuer hiking out of Coyote Gulch after packrafting the Escalante River. Trip report: <a href="https://winterbear.com/trip-reports/p

The crown jewel of the Escalante: a perennial creek winding beneath soaring walls past Jacob Hamblin Arch, Coyote Natural Bridge, waterfalls, and hanging gardens. Doable as a very long day hike via Hurricane Wash or the steep 'sneaker route,' but best savored overnight.
