A badlands pocket in the Grand Staircase region where balanced caprocks perch on soft red and white pedestals like giant mushrooms. A flat, easy 1.5-mile round-trip wash walk from US-89 delivers you to the main toadstool cluster — one of the best effort-to-reward photo stops in Southern Utah.

Visitor tip: Go at sunrise or the last hour before sunset — midday light flattens the hoodoos and cooks the wash. The trailhead is an unsigned-looking gravel pullout on US-89 between mileposts 19 and 20.
