A quiet 20-plus-mile paved road climbing from the desert town of Virgin to over 8,000 feet at Kolob Reservoir, weaving in and out of Zion National Park's western backcountry. It passes the trailheads for The Subway and Northgate Peaks and delivers alpine meadow views of Zion's white domes that most visitors never see. No entrance station, no shuttle, and a fraction of Zion Canyon's crowds.
