Protects the Waterpocket Fold, a nearly 100-mile-long wrinkle in the earth's crust lined with cliffs, domes, and slot canyons. The historic Fruita district preserves pioneer-era orchards where visitors can pick fruit in season, plus a homestead schoolhouse and petroglyph panels. It is the least crowded of Utah's Mighty 5 and was not included in the 2026 international surcharge program.
